How to apply

Applying through Meroshare and ASBA

All public issues in Nepal are applied for through Meroshare, with the amount blocked in your bank account until allotment.

Before you apply

  • A Demat account and a linked Meroshare account (opened through any DP — a bank or broker).
  • A bank account with ASBA enabled and your CRN number.
  • Your Meroshare and bank transaction PINs.

Applying through Meroshare (ASBA)

  1. 1Log in to Meroshare during the issue’s open window.
  2. 2Open “My ASBA” and find the issue under the current applications.
  3. 3Choose the company, then select your ASBA bank.
  4. 4Enter the number of units (minimum is usually 10) and your CRN.
  5. 5Enter your transaction PIN and submit the application.
  6. 6After the allotment date, check the result in Meroshare or at iporesult.cdsc.com.np.
  7. 7If allotted, the shares appear in your Demat — you can sell them after listing.

Questions

IPO questions, answered

How do I apply for an IPO in Nepal?
Through Meroshare, using ASBA. You need a demat account, a Meroshare login and a bank account with ASBA enabled. During the issue's open window, log in, open My ASBA, choose the issue, enter your units and CRN, and submit with your transaction PIN.
How many units can I apply for?
Each issue sets a minimum and maximum. Most IPOs start at 10 units and mutual funds often at 100. The limits for every issue are on its page here.
Where do I check the IPO result?
After the allotment date, in Meroshare or on CDSC's result site, iporesult.cdsc.com.np. If you are allotted, the shares arrive in your demat account and can be sold after listing.
What do "locals" and "foreign employment" mean on an issue?
Some issues reserve units for particular groups: residents of the area affected by a project (often hydropower), or Nepalis working abroad with a valid labour permit. Each group usually has its own window and its own units.
Does LSNEP take applications or money?
No. LSNEP shows the issue calendar for information only and is not investment advice. Apply only through Meroshare or your ASBA bank, and confirm details in the issuer's official notice.
